On Friday, security forces cracked down on the Ladi gang and reached their hideout in the Taman Khosa tribal region of Dera Ghazi Khan, but failed to arrest the ringleader.

Tribal forces, Border Military Police, Punjab Police and Rangers reached the hideout today, but the gang leader and members were not present.

Security forces set fire to the entire hideout.

The operation against the Ladi gang entered its third day in a row, however, no arrests have been made so far.

The day before, the robbers had released a third hostage and he had reached home safely. The Ladi gang abducted three people from the Tadi Khosa area.

Two days ago, a video went viral showing a hostage being shot dead, while another was mutilated before he was known as Rangbakhsh.

All the while, his partner was filming horrific events. In the video, the leader of the Lady gang said he had “killed the killers of his fellow Aaron”.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar also noted the reports of the incident with great concern and ordered immediate action against the gang.

The robbers took the third kidnapped Khadim Hussain with them and released him late at night, after which he returned home.

The search for the robbers continues behind a cement factory and in a mountain range in the Kashuba tribal region.
