One Pakistani soldier was martyred when militants attacked troops near Turbat on Thursday, Inter-Services Public Relations said.

ISPR said the terrorists attacked Pakistani soldiers with small arms.

Martyred soldier Naik Aqeel Abbas was a resident of Mehro Pelo village in Chakwal district.

The statement said that FC Balochistan South has launched a large-scale area operation to search for terrorists.

According to ISPR, “Peace and prosperity in Balochistan cannot be sabotaged by such cowardly acts by paramilitary elements backed by anti-state forces.”

“Security forces are determined to thwart their nefarious designs at the cost of blood and lives,” he added.

Four FC personnel were martyred and eight others were injured in two separate terrorist attacks in Quetta and Turbat, two weeks after the incident.

The media wing of the Pakistan Army had said at the time that in the first incident, the FC check post near Pir Ismail Ziarat was targeted by terrorists.

“In another incident, terrorists targeted an FC vehicle with an IC in Turbat,” ISPR said. Two FC soldiers were injured in the blast, according to ISPR.
